He went on to various roles in service, parts and sales, during which time he was selected to attend Volkswagenwerk’s training program in Wolfsburg (West Germany).
Haney returned to the United States to serve as the District Manager for Midvo, the Midwest distributor of Volkswagen, Porsche and Audi. What began as a public service for woman and a successful marketing tactic for dealerships throughout the Midwest, fueled Haney’s development as a trainer. He turned his passion for facilitation into a successful business in 1981 with the launch of his own training consulting practice. Haney worked with dealer principals, dealer groups and OEMs to lead training programs for service and parts that increased profitability and customer satisfaction.
Haney is best known for his training role at BMW, North America, where he has held numerous positions since 1985, including Regional Training Manager, National Retail Training Manager and assignments at the BMW Masters Academy. He has also worked with such companies as ADP Dealer Services, Land Rover Dealer Groups and Jaguar to implement a variety of training modules and platforms.
He is a member of the American Society for Training and Development and is versed in a variety of training systems.
