Cars.com launches Auto Shows mobile app at L.A. Auto Show

Posted by on Nov 29, 2012

Auto shows are a great opportunity for car shoppers to check out the latest models, learn about vehicle features and help them decide what car to buy, and Cars.com’s Kicking Tires blog has long been the go-to source for coverage of the major auto shows.  Now, with the launch of Cars.com’s all-new Auto Shows app for iPhone and Android mobile devices, our editors are doing even more to bring the auto show experience to life for car shoppers and enthusiasts, whether they’re at the show or keeping track of the latest news from afar.

Focused initially on the top four U.S. auto shows – Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago and New York – Cars.com’s Auto Shows app features real-time show coverage from the Cars.com editors, including breaking news, reviews, new model unveilings, photos, videos and other editorial content.  Users can also share content throughout the app with their networks on Facebook and Twitter.

For shoppers who are ready to pull their favorite car off of their wish lists and into their driveways, the app’s “Find Dealer” button makes it easy to locate and connect with a nearby dealership by transferring the user into the Dealer Locator section of the Cars.com mobile website. This is an important feature as research suggests that 60% of new-car shoppers who attend auto shows decide what brand they’ll buy upon leaving the event.

Will you be following the auto shows this year? If so, download the app today and let us know what you think in the comments below!
